Dear church Family,

This week, several neighbors have come to our doors seeking help with food. As many of you know, SNAP benefits have recently lapsed for some individuals and families, leaving a real immediate need in communities like ours. Your pastor has been praying and planning about how we can respond. We're excited to share that Woodmark church a community food drive, and we are proud and happy to join in. This a practical way for us to live out our vision to live generously and uphold one of our core values: service. We invite you to bring non-perishable food items this week to support the drive.

Most appreciated items include:

- Canned meet (Tuna, chicken, etc.)
- Healthy Cereal or Oats
- Grains, Pastas, Rice, Quinoa, Barley, etc.)
- Soup and Broths
- Shelf stable non-dairy milks, (oat, coconut, soy, almond, and rice)
- Flours, (masa, wheat), no bulk, please
- Oils, (vegetable, canola, corn, olive, etc.)
Please ensure all donation are unopened, unexpired, and undamaged. This is just one of the ways we hope to respond to the needs around us. More opportunities to serve are on the way, so please stay tuned. If you'd like to help organize or volunteer, please let one of the pastors know. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for our neighbors.

Are you a book person? We are cleaning our church library, and there will be books for donations in the church lobby every Sabbath. Please feel free to take as many as you want.

Choir practice takes place every Sabbath between Sabbath School and the church service. Thank you for ensuring your children attend.

The hope is to make our app more integrated into our system and lives. We hope to have bulletins, announcements, and event sign-ups through here very soon. November Prayer Focus – we request our church family focus on Our Children this month, believing the “effectual fervent prayers will avail much.”

Washington Conference Prayer Summit – Sabbath, November 15 @ 4:30 p.m. - Kirkland Church. All are invited to attend this “Call to Prayer” held in our church for the entire central portion of the Washington Conference.

Prayer Requests – Our church prayer team welcomes the opportunity to pray for you and with you. Submit your prayer request on the Let's Get Acquainted" card on the back of the pew & drop in the offering plate.

Sabbath Morning Prayer – 10:45 a.m. – Welcoming everyone to join a 15-minute prayer session (in the nursery – left hand side of sanctuary doors) praying for our church service, those who attend today, and for a double portion of the Holy Spirit on us individually and our collective bold representation of Our Father in the community

Outreach Meal Preparation

We need volunteers to help prepare meals, and deliver, to the Safe Parking Shelter in Kirkland. Mondays at 5:00 pm in the church kitchen. If you are interested in participating, please contact Luciane Sarli at admin@ksda.org or 425-822-7922.

Shut-Ins: In an effort to provide better care for our members, we are asking your help in locating members of the Kirkland church who are not able to come to Sabbath services. We do not always know when someone is ill or disabled. Our pastors and elders would love to visit with these valuable members.
